Since its establishment, Gümüşhane University has continuously grown, and consequently, new Faculties, Schools, Vocational Schools, and departments have been opened. Since its establishment, the university has incorporated the following faculties: Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Literature, (School of Tourism Management and Hotel Management, Gümüşhane School of Health Sciences (as explained above, these units were later transformed into faculties), School of Physical Education and Sports, School of Applied Sciences, Kelkit School of Health Sciences, İrfan Can Köse Vocational School, Kürtün Vocational School, Torul Vocational School, Şiran Health Services Vocational School, Social Sciences Vocational School, Continuing Education Application and Research Center, Organic Agriculture Application and Research Center, Central Research Laboratory Application and Research Center, Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicines Application and Research Center, Educational Technologies Application and Research Center, Language Education Application and Research Center, Ahmed Ziyaüddin Gümüşhanevi Application and Research Center, Technology Transfer Office Application and Research Center, Career Development Application and Research Center, Distance Education Application and Research Center, Occupational Health and Safety Training Application and Research Center Directorate, Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center, Mining Application and Research Center, and the Atatürk Principles and History of Revolution, Turkish Language, and Physical Education departments under the Rectorate. With the addition of the Informatics, Foreign Languages, and Fine Arts departments, Gümüşhane University currently has 1 Institute, 7 Faculties, 2 Schools, 10 Vocational Schools, 13 Research and Application Centers, and 6 departments under the Rectorate, and continues its rapid growth.
